I use the 10″ x 4″ Maxpedition Bottle Holder to fit a Guyot Designs Stainless Steel water bottle using the 32 oz. Backpacker model that is nested in a GSI Outdoor Glacier Bottle Cup / Pot – 18fl oz. This combination fits extremely well. It leaves enough room to keep an emergency blanket and compass nested on top of the bottle. The front pocket holds a signal mirror, duct tape, purification tablets and a Swedish Firesteel Army model. I bought add ons of a 1.5 inch shoulder strap with a shoulder pad and two Maxpedition Cocoon Pouches which are 2 inches in diameter and 8 inches long. These products make the water bottle a great modular system to add and delete items as necessary based upon your needs. The breakdown of the Maxpedition Bottle Holder is: Overall another great Maxpedition product when you need minimalist supplies for a hike or other outing. Material and craftmanship is good. The things that I do not like is with the difficulty of zipping open or close the cover due to the shape is not round and smooth. The soft cover is so curly that it took a long time to zip it open or close. Furthermore, it does not come with a shoulder strap. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

The bottle holder is big. Most likely, I will not be attaching it to either of my Maxpedition Sitka or Kodiak. I will probably buy the shoulder strap and pad and use it seperately. I would attach the holder to a larger bag such as the 5.1.1 Rush 72. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews
